The Casamari Abbey is a Cistercian abbey in the province of Frosinone, Lazio, Italy, about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from east to southeast of Veroli.
It marks the site of Cereatae, the birthplace of Caius Marius, later known, as the inscriptions attest, such as Cereatae Marianae, having perhaps been separated from the triumvirs by the territory of Arpinum. At the beginning of the imperial era it was an independent community. The current abbot of the Casamari Abbey, starting from 2017, is the reverend abbot Dom Eugenio Romagnuolo, president of the Cistercian Congregation of Casamari.
