Lake Posta Fibreno is located between the hills of Ciociaria at about 288 meters high, on the slopes of the Lazio Apennines and in the Comino valley, the Lazio side of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise national park and about 6 km from Sora.
It is a much loved lake by those who decide to visit it because it is surrounded by nature, characterized by crystal clear water and with very particular and interesting local flora and fauna. Walkways along the lake make it easy to fully immerse yourself in this wonderful scenery and in the surrounding woods.
When do we recommend visiting the lake of Posta Fibreno?
Surely throughout the year the lake is also fascinating for those who love photography, but obviously it is in spring that nature gives its best and makes this place even more beautiful.
Where is lake Posta Fibreno located?
It is entirely in the municipality of Posta Fibreno that takes care of its management, in the province of Frosinone, in the central southern area of Lazio.
What to see in the surroundings?
After a visit to the lake and the reserve, we advise you not to miss the nearby village of Vicalvi which is less than 5 km away and, just over 3 km away, the Cantelmo Castle, one of the most majestic and fascinating fortified buildings in the whole Lazio region.
