The Caccamo waterfall is located in the municipality of Ripa di Civitella del Tronto and takes its name from “lu caccheme” or from its shape of a large pot. It is the only waterfall within the Gole del Salinello with a height of 35 meters. The waters flow into a fissure in the rock and flow into a stream below with clear and cold waters that continue in a suggestive canyon. Along the way to reach the waterfall, a stop in the Grotta di Sant’Angelo is recommended, in ancient times a place of pilgrimage in honor of the Archangel Michael.
