The Ocriculum Archaeological Park is located in the Umbria region, in the province of Terni. This archaeological site was discovered in 1952 and has great historical importance, as it was a very important Roman city in antiquity.

Ocriculum was founded in the 3rd century BC. and became an important city thanks to its strategic position along the Via Flaminia, the Roman road that connected Rome with central Italy. The city prospered for many centuries, until its destruction in the 5th century AD.

Today the Ocriculum Archaeological Park allows visitors to discover the ancient ruins of the city, including the Roman theatre, the forum, the baths, the temple, the amphitheater and the defensive walls. There are also numerous archaeological finds on display at the Otricoli Archaeological Museum, located near the park.

The Ocriculum Archaeological Park is open all year round, but opening hours may vary according to the season. You can visit the site with a guide or independently, but it is advisable to book in advance to ensure the availability of the guided tour.

In summary, the Ocriculum Archaeological Park is a fascinating place full of history, which is definitely worth a visit for all those interested in Roman culture and archaeology. For more information you can consult the official site of the archaeological park.
