The flowering of lavender is one of the most beautiful and fragrant spectacles that nature can give. Not only Provence in France, also in different parts of Italy the lavender plant grows well and going to visit the crops can really be a wonderful experience to do in the period from May to July.
In this short article, here’s where you can see it in Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise.
Unexpectedly, even in Abruzzo it is possible to find lavender fields to visit. In the Chieti area, precisely in the Pollutri area, there is a company and B&B that is dedicated to the cultivation and production of essential oils, soap bars and even lavender honey. (find out more).
In Lazio, however, the most suitable area for the cultivation of Lavender is undoubtedly the Tuscia, also called the Maremma Laziale. It is a perfect time to admire one of the most beautiful and fragrant spectacles that nature can give us every year. In fact, you will be able to witness how the blue and purple color and the characteristic smell of lavender mix with the colors of the summer season that is entering with all its vigor, with the intense blue of the sky and the light yellow of the wheat. A spectacle in itself unique, especially if combined with the colors of a summer sunset. (find out more)
Also in Molise there is a small area where we dedicate ourselves to the cultivation of Lavender. In the Monte a Larino district there is an unexpected corner of Provence. The plants perfume the air in a delicate way and color this part of the Molise hill with shades that tend to lilac that mixes with the golden color of the wheat in summer, the dark green of the olive trees and the blue of the sky.
