The church of Santa Maria a Vico is an Abruzzo Catholic place of worship. It rises, austere and solitary, in the countryside of Val Vibrata that surround the town of Sant’Omero in the province of Teramo. It has been included, since 1902, in the list of Italian national monuments.
Evaluated as a landscape site of national interest, it was the only church in the Teramo province to receive, on July 28, 2011, the Italian Meraviglia stamp from the competition promoted by the National Youth Forum with the patronage of the Chamber of Deputies, the Ministry of cultural heritage and activities and tourism, the Minister for Youth and the Minister of Tourism.
