2nd stop: The Tempietto del Bramante, an architectural jewel in the heart of the Janiculum Hill in Rome. Built by Donato Bramante in 1502-1509, commissioned by the Spanish royal family, this circular temple with a hemispherical dome is a masterpiece of the High Renaissance. Inside, admire the altar with the statue of Saint Peter and the floor decorated in Cosmatesque style. Bernini, in 1628, added a staircase and a chapel, further enriching this sacred place and offering a breathtaking view of the eternal city.
