Walking through the streets of Azzinano, a small hamlet in the municipality of Tossicia in the province of Teramo, in Abruzzo, you can admire numerous murals that tell the story of the games of the past in bright colours.
The idea of giving a touch of color to this pretty hamlet in the Abruzzo hinterland is the result of the initiative of the inhabitants themselves, also motivated by their fellow villager Annunziata Scipione, a naïve artist who had the honor of being able to leave her mark on talent on the walls of his country.
Its streets, its little square, its most hidden corners tell us a part of how we were, of what many have lost and many have never known: the games of the past, which the best naive painters of every part of Italy have been painting for years, between the end of July and the beginning of August, on the walls of houses in gigantic and colorful murals.
