Not easy to reach, wild but welcoming, Cala del Gesso will give you an unforgettable experience in contact with nature. It is called Cala del Gesso precisely because of the gypsum quarries that were once active in this area of the Argentario, in Tuscany. In this beach you will be able to appreciate some of the most beautiful panoramas of this part of Tuscany as well as romantic sunsets over the sea.

This is a beach located on Monte Argentario, a sea promontory overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, in the Tuscany region of Italy. It is known for its natural beauty and crystal clear waters and is a popular destination for beach tourism.

Cala del Gesso is surrounded by white and rocky cliffs and characterized by fine golden sand. The sea water is crystal clear and the seabed is shallow and sandy, ideal for swimming and snorkelling. Cala del Gesso is also a protected area.

What is the best time to visit Cala del Gesso?

The best time to visit is from May to September when the weather conditions are stable and the weather is warm and sunny. However, also in other months of the year the Cala del Gesso is an enchanting place for walks along the sea and to enjoy the natural beauty of the Tuscan coast.

What to see nearby?

In the vicinity of the cove there are many other places of interest to visit, including the Maremma Natural Park, the beaches of Cala Moresca and Cala del Belvedere, and the towns of Porto Santo Stefano and Orbetello. These places are a unique opportunity to experience the beauty and diversity of Tuscany and to immerse yourself in the culture and history of the region.
