Castelli is a beautiful village located in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. It is known as the “town of majolica“ because it is renowned for the handcrafted production of ceramic plates, vases and other objects.

The majolica tradition in Castelli dates back to the 16th century and is still one of the main businesses in the town today. Many artisan shops are open to the public, where you can admire the potters at work and buy splendid ceramic works of art.

Castelli is also a very suggestive village, with its narrow stone streets, ancient churches and noble palaces. Among the main attractions of the town are the Church of San Giovanni Battista, the Palazzo Ducale and the Museo delle Ceramiche di Castelli, which exhibits historical and contemporary ceramic works.

Furthermore, Castelli is located in the heart of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, a splendid natural area with a rich flora and fauna, and many opportunities for excursions and outdoor activities. In short, Castelli is a jewel of Abruzzo, a place where the beauty of art and nature meet in perfect harmony.
