The Vicalvi Castle, dating back to the 11th century, is located on the top of the hill in the Comino Valley village of the same name, close to the Abruzzo Apennines of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, in the province of Frosinone.
Although it appears as a ruin, this forms with the two polygonal walls, almost intact, a vast fortified area, which allows us to read the various phases of construction, the functions and the structuring within a wider defensive system, also including the nearby manors of Alvito and Picinisco.
