The Falvaterra Caves Natural Monument is located in the province of Frosinone, in the Lazio region, in Italy. This caves are a complex of karst caves that develop over an area of about 3 km. The site is characterized by numerous stalactites and stalagmites, underground lakes, streams and large halls. These places can be visited via a tourist route that winds for about 700 meters.
The visit itinerary lasts about an hour. and it is very suggestive, because it allows you to admire the particular rock formations present inside the caves, including the “Cathedral”, the “Gallery of Diamonds”, the “Gallery of Lions” and the “Blue Lake”.
When to visit the Falvaterra Caves?
The caves of Falvaterra can be visited all year round, but the best season to visit them is spring or autumn, when temperatures are milder and there are no summer crowds. However, during the summer the caves can be a cool place to escape from the heat.
As for the opening hours, these may vary according to the season and the time of year, so I advise you to check the updated hours on the monument’s official website before organizing your visit. More information can be found on the official website.
