The Laghetto delle Colonne and the Parco della Regina are two very beautiful and evocative places located in the city of Fiesole, in Tuscany.
The Laghetto delle Colonne is a small lake surrounded by Roman columns and thick vegetation. According to legend, the lake was created by the tears of the nymph Egeria, who wept for the death of her beloved Numa Pompilius, king of Rome. Today the Laghetto delle Colonne is a much appreciated destination for walks and excursions in nature, above all for the beauty of the surrounding landscape and for its romantic atmosphere.
The Parco della Regina, on the other hand, is a public park located on a hill overlooking the city of Florence. Inside the park there are numerous tree species and a series of paths and trails that lead to the discovery of beautiful panoramas over the city and the surrounding countryside. In the park it is also possible to find some panoramic points from which it is possible to admire the entire city of Florence and its most famous monuments, such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and the Ponte Vecchio.
Both of these places are perfect for a trip outside the city of Florence, for a relaxing walk in nature or simply to enjoy the landscape and the beauty of the places.
