The San Fele waterfall is a beautiful waterfall located in the Basilicata region of southern Italy. It is located in the municipality of San Fele, in the province of Potenza, and is one of the most famous natural attractions in the area. The waterfall has a height of about 30 meters and is immersed in a suggestive rock gorge.

How to reach the San Fele waterfall?

To reach this place, you can use the car or public transport. If you decide to take the car, you can follow the SS658 up to the junction for San Fele and then follow the signs for the waterfall. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Potenza, which stops in San Fele, and then walk for about 30 minutes to reach the waterfall.

When is it preferable to visit it?

As for the best time to visit, it depends on your preferences. In general, the best time to visit the waterfall is spring and summer. In this period the weather is milder and the surrounding vegetation is in full bloom. However, even in autumn and winter the waterfall is very impressive and you will be able to admire the beauty of nature in a different season.

It is important to remember that this waterfall is located in a protected natural area and that it is necessary to respect the rules and indications provided by the local authorities in order to preserve the surrounding environment.
