The Ruzzo Waterfalls are located in the province of Teramo, in Abruzzo, in the Pretara area and are undoubtedly a spectacle of beauty and nature. – they offer a spectacle of natural beauty. They are fed by three large springs: the Fossaceca (1497 m), the Piscine, and the Peschio.
The valley in which they run is of limestone origin with sheer sides with points where the gorge becomes up to 150 meters deep. The river fed by the waterfalls runs narrowly through two large chasms creating waves of water in various points, among the most spectacular are the Coste Baroni and Mescatore jumps (23 meters high) and the Vena Roscia jump (another 16 metres).
How to get to the Ruzzo waterfall?
Once you arrive in the small hamlet, continue until the first intersection that you will find on the right. Take an unpaved road that will take you to the bridge over the Ruzzo river and on the left of which a small path begins that will take you to the waterfalls.
