The Rio Arno waterfalls are one of the most visited places by those who decide to spend their holidays or take a trip near Prati di Tivo. The water jump is 30 meters and is generated by the Rio Arno river that originates from Pizzo d’Intermesoli going downstream before joining as a tributary to the Vomano river.
How to visit the Rio Arno Waterfall?
To be able to admire this waterfall up close, it is necessary to start from the square in Prati di Tivo and follow a part of the path marked as Sentiero Italia number 100 which climbs up with a difference in height of about 150 meters. At the destination there is a viewpoint that makes the view of the Rio Arno waterfalls even more impressive.
How long does it take to do the excursion?
Consider, with a normal pace, about 1 hour and a half to get to the waterfall thanks to an easy and well-marked path. From the waterfall you can also decide to continue reaching Val Maone as done by Milvana Valentini, author of the photos in this article.
