The episode, dedicated to Turin and Piedmont, of the second season of ‘Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy’, winner of the Emmy Award 2021 for the Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Program, will be broadcast on 8 May on CNN.
After the great success of the first season, which aired on CNN starting from February 2021, the London company Raw ltd has chosen Piedmont to set an episode of the second season which debuted on May 1st.
Well-known Oscar-nominated and Emmy Award-winning actor Stanley Tucci, of Italian descent from both parents, satisfies his passion for Italian cuisine as he explores the stories and people behind the world’s most popular cuisine .
In the episode, Tucci will focus in particular on food markets, trattorias and home cooking, local dishes and daring flavors. Filming in Turin, made with the support of Film Commission Torino Piemonte, took place last November. The troupe then traveled through Piedmont, touching Nizza Monferrato, the Langhe and the Vercelli area. At the end of the shooting, the production defined the program as ‘a love letter to Italy, a deeply personal, witty and warm odyssey of gastronomic delights’.
