Roccasecca is a city located in the province of Frosinone, in the Lazio region of Italy, and has applied for the title of Italian Capital of Culture for 2025.
Roccasecca’s candidacy is based on the important cultural heritage present in the city and its surrounding area. Indeed, the city is known for being the birthplace of St. Thomas Aquinas, one of the most important philosophers and theologians in history. Furthermore, the city has a medieval castle and a number of old churches and historical monuments which testify to its rich history.
Roccasecca‘s candidacy for the title of Italian Capital of Culture 2025 is still being evaluated and the winning city has not yet been announced. However, the initiative aims to promote and support local culture in Italy, so Roccasecca’s candidacy is certainly an excellent opportunity to enhance the city’s cultural heritage and make it known to a wider audience.
