El Pais, one of the most widely read newspapers in Spain, dedicates an article to the Pontine province, citing the Giardino di Ninfa, Sermoneta and Norma as unmissable destinations of nature and history.
Sermoneta is, for the Spanish newspaper, one of the destinations south of Rome with significant historical, natural connotations and a fascinating appeal. And the Gardens of Ninfa and Norma which, just 78 km from the capital, can easily be considered one of the most beautiful gardens in the world: “a garden considered a symbiosis of history and nature and an explosion of biodiversity” where the Romans find peace and relaxation from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
The medieval villages of Norma and Sermoneta are also mentioned. The latter, in particular, is remembered as the largest feud of the Caetani, “a city of medieval origin which still retains its genius”.
Only recently the New York Times had defined the gardens of Ninfa as the most romantic gardens in the world and the Daily Telegraph had included it among the 10 most beautiful places in the world.
