What to visit near Gradara? Gradara with its well-preserved medieval village and its castle is one of the most loved and visited places in central Italy.
It is impossible not to be amazed by the beauty of the place and the atmosphere steeped in history and culture that you breathe while walking through the narrow alleys that lead in front of the Castle.
The Gradara Castle is also famous for being the setting for the Canto dell’Inferno in which Paolo and Francesca are told of the lovers in Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy.

Among the cities and villages that we recommend you visit, we remind you of some seaside resorts such as Gabicce Mare, Cattolica and Rimini.
You will also be able to discover smaller villages such as Fiorenzuola di Focara with its tiny and characteristic historic center, Montefiore Conca, the medieval capital of the Conca Valley with its well-preserved Malatesta castle.
And then, again, San Giovanni in Marignano, famous for the folkloristic representation of the Night of the Witches, Montegridolfo one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Saltara with its Science Museum (Museo della Scienza) and the village of San Leo.
If you are interested in naturalistic excursions, you could visit the Monte San Bartolo Nature Reserve which is located a short distance from Gradara.
Are you traveling as a family and with children? You can evaluate some healthy fun in the Cattolica Aquarium, the Aquafan and Oltremare in Riccione, in the Italia in Miniatura park and Fiabilandia in Rimini.
